Remember your professor!
Don’t forget that special professor who has made an impact on your life or career. Join G.O.L.D. Society members and their recognized professors at a special on-campus event in the spring.
The G.O.L.D. Society
The G.O.L.D. Society is an elite group of recent graduate donors who value and support Carnegie Mellon at a leadership level.
- Graduates of the last four years (2004-2007) and current students who contribute at least $250 annually, and
- Graduates from the last five to nine years (1999-2003) who contribute at least $500 annually.
- G.O.L.D. Society members receive special recognition in the university's Annual Donor Report, as well as invitations to special events both on campus and around the country. In addition, G.O.L.D. Society members are invited to take part in the "Remember Your Professor" program, an exclusive benefit offered only to G.O.L.D. Society-level donors whereby they are able to honor a professor (or a staff member) who truly made a difference during their time at Carnegie Mellon.
Did you know?
Giving to Carnegie Mellon has a direct and positive impact on the students:
- Gifts to the Annual Fund support today's students.
- Participation is factored into the college rankings of US News & World Report and other prestigious college rankings.
- Corporations and foundations look at alumni giving when making grant allocation decisions.
The cost of a Carnegie Mellon education is not fully covered by tuition. All students benefit in a variety of ways from the generosity of alumni, parents and friends of the university.
Albert C. May Society
Established in honor of Albert C. May (E 1921, 1922), who founded the Annual Fund at Carnegie Tech in 1947 and contributed to it every year until he passed away in 1998, the Albert C. May Society recognizes those loyal supporters who have given to the university for five or more consecutive years.
Annual gifts add up!
Thank you to the nearly 5,000 Albert C. May Society members who supported Carnegie Mellon last fiscal year.
By making a gift to Carnegie Mellon every year, you help strengthen our ability to serve students and the university.
If every Albert C. May Society member contributed an extra $50 this year, Carnegie Mellon would raise an additional $250,000.
